Ellie Chu takes on a writing assignment that sees her making new friends and falling in love along the way.

"The Half of It" is an absolutely stellar coming-of-age film. The usual high school politics are at play here, but our leading lady is so down-to-earth that all the drama just fades into the background. This is a story about friendships, love, family and discovering who you are. It's poignant in all the right ways and so wholesome you'll be fit to burst by the movie's end. A glorious, subtle, endearing love story, without the pre-requisite happy ending. Genre-busting.
