The Godmother

A police translator finds herself on the other side of the law when she intervenes to save the son of her mother's nurse from arrest for trucking hashish into France.

The descriptor romp is so often used to describe movies that it's become a moniker often hard to deliver on. There's no better word to sum up the on-screen action of "The Godmother", which takes a dangerous trade and inserts an ordinary but daring woman into the act. The clever (if unlikely) plot entertains as real-life threats are underplayed in favour of lively, creative, and enjoyable antics. Straight-up fun with high heels.
