Crime Wave

A woman tries to cover up for her son after he kills his father, her ex-husband.

"Crime Wave" is a black comedic drama that gets a little more absurd with each development in the story, and in no way does that inhibit viewing enjoyment. Some, it seems, will go to great lengths to conceal a murder. None of the characters takes themselves or their situation very seriously. This movie doesn't so much explore family relationships as stumble over them for laughs. The action trips along rather than delving too deeply into reality; it's all a bit whacky while managing to be enjoyable. Guilty party.
