Under Cover

An Australian documentary that presents ten women and their stories of how they have ended up homeless.

There's a fact which is repeated several times during "Under Cover" the the fastest growing social group facing homelessness is women aged over 55. This documentary aims to breakdown stereotypes and erroneous preconceptions by interviewing women of diverse backgrounds. The pace is slow but rather than unhurried it's more like being weighted down and not detracting from the seriousness of these situations. While we may say 'it's never too late' there is an overwhelming sense of loss and hopelessness pervading these tales of survival. Standing over.
