The Miracle Club

In 1967 women of the Dublin suburb of Ballygar, each seeking some sort of healing, embark on a bus trip with their priest to Lourdes.

The ensemble cast of enduring actors might lead audiences to expect a simple tale - on the surface, "The Miracle Club" is a story of religious faith and a belief in miracles, but it's much more too. In the mix are three generations of women, estranged relationships, possible suicide and differing experiences with abortion. Even with the provocative story elements, the production remains soft as it seeks a happy resolution. Forgive me, Father.
