Captain Marvel's powers become entwined with those of Ms Marvel and Monica Rambeau, meaning they must join forces to save multiple worlds in the galaxy.
The Marvels is a middle-of-the-road production missing the magic of previous cinematic universe offerings, trying to do too much in too little time. The plot is haphazardly put together, with wonky backstory placements, an odd musical interlude and a forgettable villain. While there are some good pops of humour from Ms Marvel and her family, the rest of the cast doesn't seem like they're doing much other than hitting their marks and phoning in their performances. Unmarvelous.
