A hermit living in the woods outside of Portland returns to the city in search of his cherished truffle pig when she's stolen from his shack.

"Pig" is an intriguing movie, a mystical and quite surreal story of love and what we leave behind in its wake. Threads of the tale are woven together and not presented sequentially, rather built through revisiting the past and standing on some incredibly poignant recollections. The movie is layered and rewarding as well as being simple. Imagine that in all the world there is only the pig and the hermit, sufficient characters to break your heart. Pearls before swine.
