Parasite

In Korea, a family who folds pizza boxes for income ingratiate themselves into the lives and employ of a financially privileged family.

Movies as socially subversive as "Parasite" are rarely as uncompromising and entertaining as this satirical effort is. The writer/director deftly targets class structures with his camera, and we soon become aware that it's more than only the stinkbugs that are on the nose. Being comic and then dark by turns builds a momentum that carries through the extended run time as our allegiances shift, tension heightens, and it becomes less clear who is the host and who the parasite. Call the exterminators.
