A woman, bereaved after the death of her son and husband, goes to live in the wilderness alone.

It begins as a story about seeking isolation, but when the protagonist goes off the grid unprepared, "Land" becomes a survival tale. The movie is based on a fictional script, and knowing this makes the characters' behaviour and choices less forgivable than if it were a true story. There are some annoying moments but no room for spoilers in this review. While the scenery and cinematography are faultless, the production is marred by underdeveloped dialogue, and it's a case of the less said the better... it's pretty quiet. Death by log cabin?
