Dune

There's no denying just how visually striking and intoxicatingly ambitious "Dune" is. It's hard to not get swallowed up in the cinematic experience of epic set pieces and hauntingly immersive soundtrack. The film occasionally buckles under its own grandeur and sequel plans, particularly when delving into the necessary but slightly drawn-out exposition for its characters and world politics. However, once the inevitable second act is released, the audience is duly rewarded with a monumental sci-fi cult classic that will stand strong.
