Four friends and school teachers in Copenhagen embark on a psychological experiment to monitor the effect of an elevated blood alcohol level on their wellbeing.

"Another Round" authentically parallels the experience of drinking in that it's funny until it's not. Stories centred around the bonds of friendship between males are rare, and the genuine emotional depth presented here is a welcome change from the usual heroic tropes. The shared horrors of navigating midlife is a compelling watch, and plot interest is enhanced by following individual experiences as well as those of the group. Their bittersweet ordeals resonate thanks to convincing and big-hearted performances from the cast. Intoxicating.
