Venom: Let There Be Carnage

Action Adventure Sci-Fi

Eddie Brock tries to reboot his career via an interview with a notorious serial killer, but things go awry when the killer escapes his execution.

"Venom: Let There Be Carnage" is a sequel that outshines its predecessor in some aspects, but fails to eclipse it in others. The banter between our leading man and his symbiote is top-notch and the best part of the film. The CGI is solid, and the fight sequences are engaging and entertaining. Where this film falls flat on its face is the villains; they're sorely miscast, their acting is hard to watch and they become caricatures of themselves the longer they're on the screen. Yummy.
