Venom

An investigative journalist becomes the host of an alien symbiote known as Venom.

"Venom" feels like two or more films meshed together; none of which are done particularly well. The result is a psychological and faux-horror superhero film trying to be accessible to younger audiences through zany humour. It's a chaotic, tonal mess that never seems quite sure what it's trying to achieve, but strangely, still has fun doing so. Particularly in the golden age of comic-to-screen movies, this one feels already outdated. Poison.
