Top End Wedding

Lauren and Ned are about to marry in the Northern Territory when her parents unexpectedly split and her mother goes missing.

"Top End Wedding" warms up slowly and hits its stride about midway through. At first, it appears rather insubstantial but still maintains a jovial tone; or perhaps, because of its good-heartedness, something a bit magical happens and we're transported into a poignant and touching tale. The spell cast is thanks to a combination of likeable actors, stunning natural scenery, and the special experience of sharing in the all too rarely seen stories of Australia's indigenous peoples. Deserves a good reception.
