The Night of the 12th

On the 12th of October, in a town near Grenoble in the French Alps, 21-year-old Clara is murdered in a horrific crime and Inspector Vivès is determined to find the perpetrator.

The Night of the 12th is based on a book and told to highlight socio-political issues of gendered violence, along with some of the challenges of modern-day policing. The plot could have been drawn from a real crime, it was informed by similar events after all. The well-cast movie is constructed as a dark mystery thriller, and with no shortage of suspects, there's a sense of a determined hunt by the police involved. Whodunit?
