The Magnificent Seven

An oppressed village in the old west hire seven gunmen to help defend their land.

This old-school western is a moderately entertaining distraction full of all the clichés we've come to expect; good guys, bad guys and gunfights galore. The plot is predictable, although in a time when westerns are few and far between, "The Magnificent Seven" provides a refreshing throwback to a forgotten genre. Granted, those seeking to reminisce the classic won't find any semblance here apart from the iconic score and sweeping frontier scenery. Decent, but far from magnificent.
