The Letter

Documentary Crime

A young man travels to his hometown in an endeavour to get to the bottom of accusations against his grandmother.

"The Letter" is a subdued film covering a very serious subject. Stunningly shot and framed, this production displays a bitter, fractured family clutching at straws in an attempt to re-establish the peace. This story is just one facet of a much larger narrative, a scheme to rid the elderly of their landholdings with little to no way of fighting back. Elders are attacked in their homes and forced to flee, and for those who refuse to leave, charlatans abound, ready to pounce and cleanse a homestead. Return to sender.
