The Happytime Murders

A disgraced former puppet-detective finds himself embroiled in a case where the puppet-cast of a beloved 80s children show are being murdered.

Sex. Murder. Puppets. Great concepts for films in their own right, but a hell of a lot more intriguing when combined together. Even with this promising and fun idea, the novelty of "The Happytime Murders" often wears a little too thin, relying too heavily on fundamentally crass toilet humour seen dozens of times before. While the film resides on the lowest rung of the 'fluff film' ladder, it's still kind of fun to see muppets behaving badly.
