The Beatles: Eight Days a Week - The Touring Years

A feature length documentary follows the fab four from 1962 until 1966, the years they spent on tour playing concerts and trying to be heard above their screaming audiences.

The director has seamlessly curated archival footage, cleverly interspersing it with contemporary talking heads to create a portal into Beatlemania. Looking back to half a century ago, you can appreciate how timing was everything; baby boomers were teenagers and transistor radios had just been invented. The western world was ready for cultural change, so when four likeable lads formed a band we had a soundtrack for social revolution. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
