Skyscraper

A security consultant goes to extraordinary lengths to rescue his family from a burning building.

"Skyscraper" is a flagrantly basic and derivative film, with a plot so inexplicably bad that there are enough plot holes to fill each of the 230+ floors. What universe does this story exist in? Action sequences are contrived beyond belief and defies all logic of physics, while the characters respond to the unfolding drama in the most nonsensical of ways. The only sympathy one might have is for the titular, inanimate structure that comes under fire. Its impressive CGI architecture is the unfortunate backdrop of a laughable motion picture. A burning pile of trash.
