A group of women from a retirement village set out to compete in a cheerleading competition.

"Poms" is here to remind you that you're never too old to have a good time. This film has its heart firmly in the right place, challenging the status quo on female empowerment one cheer routine at a time. Unfortunately, the "villains" of the story also happen to be women which seems to defeat the purpose. The plot is a bit cheesy, but the cast have wonderful chemistry and their enthusiasm is infectious, especially during the wonderful final performance. Shake your pom poms.
