Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales

Captain Jack Sparrow finds himself in search of Poseidon's trident, whilst being chased by the ghostly Captain Salazar.

While "Pirates 5" boasts the incredible visuals and jaw-dropping spectacles we've come to expect from the franchise, there's little spark to be found this time around. While the adventure is entertaining and there's some improvement from the previous instalments, there's a sense of autopilot and déjà vu that bogs the film down. It's another kooky adventure filled with zany characters, combined with a supernatural curse that makes it feels all a little too familiar. Nostalgia is great, but perhaps it's time for the tale to end.
