Nine Days

A facilitator (of sorts) interviews a group of people across nine days to see which one of them will be delivered to a life.

There's a popular meme of a groundhog on a mountainside screaming, and the act is performed in full force by more than one of the characters in "Nine Days". The scream serves to express an answer to the existential angst of not having answers for life, a theme central to this powerfully imagined story. The screenwriter is interestingly preoccupied with the impenetrability of a suicidal mind. Unanswerable questions are enacted and anchor a compelling philosophical exploration in this sensational movie. In the twinkling of a why.
