To save her father, a young woman disguises herself as a male warrior.

"Mulan" is a fruitless live-action adaptation. The original story has been stripped of its charm and left in its place is a cast of humdrum characters who move from scene to scene delivering cliched dialogue that does nothing to move the plot along. The bright spot in this film is the action sequences; they're well-choreographed and impressive, if a little showy. Unfortunately, the bloated running time is the final nail in the coffin for this lacklustre production. Loyal, brave, snooze.
