Pop on your rose-coloured glasses, "Mrs Harris Goes to Paris" is set in an earlier period and brimful of nostalgia. The roles are stereotypes, oversimplified caricatures, but the casting is flawless so every character is credible. At the heart of the story is a self-effacing salt-of-the-earth cleaner. The audience is won over understanding that she is deserving of all that comes her way. We're on her side and set-up for some deeply touching scenes. A working-class hero is something to be.
