Moana ventures out to the ocean in search of a demigod to help remove the curse from her Polynesian island home.

"Moana" is a wild ocean adventure with lush visuals and a delightful soundtrack. While the story itself is largely uneventful and confined to a canoe with a dim-witted chicken, it still manages to challenge its younger target audience with an exploration of Polynesian culture and dangerous, darker forces. Through it all our heroine remains brave and resilient, paving the way for female archetypes as she navigates nefarious gods and sea-turtles. The ocean calls.
