Mission: Impossible - Fallout

Ethan Hunt and his team are embroiled in an elaborate plot to destroy the world.

"Mission Impossible: Fallout" is comforting in its simplicity. This formulaic, high-octane romp ticks all the required boxes while adding a much-needed dose of plausibility to its action sequences when compared to previous installments of the franchise. The pacing of this production is excellent, with scenes between the main operation interspersed in a way that keeps the audience engaged but not overwhelmed, carrying a poignancy rarely seen in a film from this genre. A few unnecessary characters and a lengthy runtime mar what is otherwise an incredibly enjoyable thrill ride. Mission accomplished.
