"Minamata" steps through the creation of a powerful photo-editorial essay about an outrageous industrial crime. The movie pays homage to the heavy drinking, old school photojournalist with a heart for justice. The lead actor and producer inhabits the role wholeheartedly, bringing compassion for the plight of the people whose stories he documents, and building an unassailable case for change. This is a horrendous story that warrants watching, if only to fuel your sense of outrage for corporate pillage. Temperatures are rising.
