The story of the Battle of Midway.

"Midway" is a fascinating look at the cogs in the wheel of a war machine. While the main focus of this production is on air and sea skirmishes, there's also a peek behind the curtain of intelligence gathering and the important role it played in this battle. The film suffers from some distinct pacing issues, there are long stretches where absolutely nothing happens, and it's during these periods that we notice some of the over-the-top performances. Thankfully the amazing stuntwork and the dramatic final act serve to show us the very human cost of WWII. My way.
