Beatrice and Donatella are both patients at a psychiatric facility. They they inadvertently escape and embark on an unpredictable adventure connecting with people from their respective pasts.

Two psychologically fragile women make an unlikely duo, finding friendship and support in each other. It's worth noting that the story is set before residential mental health facilities were closed in Italy. The charming story delivers some powerful social messages about madness, the circumstances, and the relationships that can make people 'crazy'.
