In the 50 years Kaldor Art Projects have installed extraordinary art in public spaces in Australia, international artists often lead the projects.

A documentary about art inevitably poses the question 'what is art?'. The answer really depends on whom you ask and an interesting element here is the recording of society's changing relationship to art in public spaces, and the contribution made by challenging ideas and mindsets. Watching "It All Started With a Stale Sandwich" is a challenge - the viewing itself is easy and interesting - but questions and conversations will inevitably arise. What to agree with? Value? Dissent over? Contemporary and temporary.
