Overachiever Candice Phee befriends the new kid at school, 'Douglas Benson from another dimension', and tries to sort out her dysfunctional family.

The central character is relentlessly buoyant as she sets about mending the relationships of those closest to her. The cast of curious characters in her small coastal town complement her eccentric style. The screen is vividly coloured, giving a sense of hyper-realism that serves to bolster this already optimistic story. The action builds to a hilarious and far from ordinary ending; the feeling is wondrous as if sunshine has been splashed directly onto the screen. H is for Hooray.
