Goodbye Christopher Robin

The life story of the author who wrote the classic children's books about Winnie the Pooh and his friends.

The span of "Goodbye Christopher Robin" is broad. There is a lot of story to tell about the writer and his family, including their nanny and the renowned bear. The emotional range of the same characters is inhibited by the apparent need to maintain the stiffest of upper lips; only the bear is the obvious exception, being stuffed. The movie looks superb on the screen but is let down by the cast not being given room to breathe with life. Tinkerty tonk.
