Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald
Adventure Family Mystery
Magizoologist Newt Scamander must travel to Paris in order to track down the escaped Gellert Grindelwald.
"The Crimes of Grindelwald" is a bolder and darker instalment than its predecessor, but still feels like it merely serves as a bridge to the next chapter. The film loses its way at times, becoming tangled amongst the myriad of its own story threads. Thankfully, there are enough moments of wistful enchantment to appease diehard fans of this Wizarding World. The visuals are exquisite and the beasts are indeed fantastical - all set against a faithfully impressive recreation of 1920s Paris. Creature comforts.
