After suffering a stroke, André calls one of his daughters to ask her to help him end his life.

"Everything Went Fine" is a sobering, dry-eyed look at a contentious subject matter. The movie is based on a book in which the author explored her relationship with her father. The plot benefits from a sense of being drawn from real experiences, and because the story rings true it becomes a tender vehicle for exploring family relationships. The filmmaker takes advantage of the material he's working with and brings the audience right in close, precisely where we need to be. Dignity in death.
