Down Under

In the days following the Cronulla riots in 2005, two very different groups form, both looking for retribution.

Investigating the dark underbelly of racism in multicultural Australia, "Down Under" paints a horrible picture of peer pressure and the eternal desire of an 'eye for an eye'. Politically incorrect and downright offensive at points, it's sometimes hard to watch this emotional, tense and dramatic film. Superb juxtaposition and exquisite pops of dark comedy combine to make this tale of the devastating consequences of bigotry and ignorance incredibly poignant. I come from a land down under.
