This saga spans various decades of the life of a barbarian, with each iteration played by a different actress. The film wastes no time bringing you into the surreal and visceral world of the female warrior, as they account for their life of barbarism in purgatory. The imagery is dark and erotic, with an almost pornographic depiction of violence and gore. Ridiculous and proudly weird, this movie definitely won't be for everyone. Undeniably queer, and with strong undertones of kink, "Conann" will make you question how a scene with cannibalism could feel more like an orgy. Not for the faint of heart, but for those with the right palate, there is glory in the gore.
