"Cold War" is magnificent on the screen, akin to a black and white work of art. The imagery is rich, the dialogue sparse, and the effect is spellbinding. The relationship between the central couple is too intense to simply be labelled a romance; this is something altogether more transcendent, an enduring affair in a time of destruction and beginnings.
