An English writer is invited to go on a promotional book tour in Mexico where his novel is a runaway success thanks to embellishments by his translator.
It takes a movie-length journey to get to the resolution of a staid Englishman's romantic education from a passionate Latin American woman, but the ending is always in sight. "The Book of Love" is a movie in the style of a telenovela, a little emotionally exaggerated, but a lot of fun. We're entertained with charming moments attempting to hold a flimsy premise together, you might even consider more episodes if this were a TV series. El amor.
