All is True

Biography History Drama

In 1613, a fire destroyed the Globe Theatre and William Shakespeare returned to Stratford-upon-Avon to see out his remaining days with his family.

Interest wanes as the movie masquerading as a historical biography is more fiction than fact. Without much underlying veracity, there's little compelling reason to watch, it all falls flat and audience attention may drift to wondering about the vanity of the director who is also the lead actor. There are a few too many close-ups of the excellent work from the make-up department, but the actor's hairline and prosthetic nose are no substitute for compelling content. Half-truths are false after all.
