The Secret Life of Pets

A terrier named Max has his life turned upside after his owner brings home a new dog.

It's hard to fault a film that on a surface level is so entertaining and visually vibrant. This extremely family-friendly adventure ticks all the boxes - lovable characters, beautiful animation, and a fun, charming story about loyalty, friendship and what it means to be man's best friend. There is a sense of similarity to other adventures had by certain anthropomorphic childhood objects, but there's enough going for it to keep it fresh, particularly its humour, and ultimately give you those warm, fuzzy feelings. What a life.
