The Ritual

After a tragedy, a group of friends go camping in the forest.

Set in a beautiful and intriguing landscape, "The Ritual" could have been a stunning work of horror. Alternatively, the interesting parts of the story take a backseat as we're treated to four men bickering when they get lost in the woods. There's one character you'll want dead long before the film makes it happen, and the final act is such a departure from the rest of the narrative that it almost seems like it belongs in a different movie. Sacrilege.
