The story of Forrest Tucker, a career criminal who stole over $4m by robbing banks across America.

It's not too much of a stretch to draw a parallel between the 'based on real-life' bank robber who feels compelled to hold up bank after bank - and the 'true to life' actor who wants one more screen performance, perhaps one more curtain call. Fortunately, both are extraordinarily polite and likeable, as well as unconcerned about ageing. This is a warm and friendly film, and we almost forgive the criminal his crimes as we applaud the performer for his craft. Bang bang.
