The French Dispatch

An homage to the New Yorker as it was under editor Harold Ross, with three stories drawn from The French Dispatch, a magazine published in the fictional town of Ennui-sur-Blasé.

The director delivers what he's known for: colourful, frenzied screens brim-filled with more detail than the viewer's eye can discern. The stories from the source material are stylised more than realistic in format, intricate and entertaining without forming a strictly cohesive narrative.
