Adorable is an adjective rarely used to describe a movie that doesn't feature puppies but it perfectly describes "The Big Sick". The actors relate to each other in a natural manner, even in tense family scenes a tone is created that allows the plot to be both funny and frightening without compromising its adorableness. Another significant factor is the playful pace of the action, it's undemanding and almost dawdles, letting you to relax into the story. An unconventional production that's likely to become a rom-com classic. Well received.
