Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker

The Resistance must fight to save the galaxy once more from the menace that is the First Order.

"The Rise of Skywalker" is an emotional and satisfying farewell to the Star Wars saga. Although it doesn't take many risks, the melding of past and present delivers a healthy dose of nostalgia with enough revelations to keep the narrative engaging. Spectacular action sequences are a welcome constant, powered by a barrage of impressive visual effects and epic lightsaber duels. Perhaps a victim of the franchise's own lofty expectations and cult following, it's still a gratifying ending for those who have been actively invested in the fate of the characters for the best part of three decades. All rise.
