Three girls are kidnapped and held hostage by a man with who has 23 alternate personalities.

For a psychological thriller, "Split" is incredibly uneventful and bland. Convenience is the name of the game in this dawdling story that seems determined to confuse and frustrate the audience. Superb cinematography and an array of disturbingly good performances by our leading man can't save this movie from itself; it ends up being nothing more than a disappointingly shallow, Hollywood depiction of a contentious and controversial psychiatric disorder. Shattered.
