Solo: A Star Wars Story

Follows the adventures of a young Han Solo in the years before joining the Rebellion.

"Solo" is a cinematic origin story that resembles something more of a stand-alone galactic western than a piece of the greater franchise story arc. It's efficient enough popcorn entertainment sure to divide its target audience - while some may be satisfied by the perpetual action and nods to nostalgia, others will be left rueing unfulfilled potential, victims of their own lofty expectations. Like the titular hero himself, this film is rough around the edges, relying on a rousing final act to mask the feeling that perhaps it's all a little understated and rushed. Going somewhere, Solo?
