Ocean's 8

Debbie Ocean gathers an all-female crew to break into and rob New York City's yearly Met Gala.

There's an air of glamour and flair that makes "Oceans 8" quite fun to watch. The gender-switch is a welcome concept and the casting is superb; unfortunately, neither are fully utilised here. Given the current climate, there deserved to be more acknowledgement than a throwaway line. For solely entertainment purposes though, this film hits most of the right notes, delivering an enjoyable - if not a slightly 'simple' - heist film. A faux diamond.
