Life of the Party

A middle-aged mother goes back to college to get her degree.

"Life Of The Party" is a cute comedy that while funny, doesn't quite hit all the right notes. This film features some adorkable moments but there's a sense of desperation to the story that makes everything seem like it's trying just a little too hard. There are some wonderful moments of self-reflection, highlighting female empowerment and going after your dreams, but they're often undercut by the use of cheap parlour tricks to get laughs. We like to party.
